Forensic Chemist & Document Analyst

Mr. Shaffer is a Forensic Chemist and Document Analyst with over 30 years as a practicing chemist.  He is currently an adjunct faculty instructor and has worked for the past approximately 20 years at several federal forensic laboratories as a Forensic Chemist and Document Analyst.  Mr. Shaffer has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science (Thesis) from American University in Chemistry

Mr. Shaffer has published in several forensic publications along with numerous presentations at the scientific session of prestigious forensic organizations.  In addition, Mr. Shaffer has conducted many classes and served as a guest lecturer for many educational institutions.  His specialized training has spanned approximately 20 years.  Mr. Shaffer has been the member of many forensic organizations including the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS), American Chemical Society and The Adhesion Society.
